The Manager

The moon sat within the nighttime sky and looked around at all the stars.  It took each one and turned their light so they would shine from a far.  There was one particular star that blinked off in the distance with little light to shine.  The moon told the star to come a little closer so the light will shine from above.  The star was afraid and wanted to stay.  The moon wanted the star to shine on his own.  The star was too far away to get some light.  As the moon talked to the star, he was able to touch the star with the warmth of his words.  As the star came closer with this light, he became brighter.  To the star’s surprise, his light began to shine.  As he looked out into the night and saw the other stars, he smiled at the moon and said, “You helped me see that with your light that I can shine on my own”.  As the moon smiled back and said to the star, “you came from afar with little to give, I took what you had and made it your own.  I am here to help you when you need a hand, but now you must go and find other dim stars so you can give to them what has been given to you.  After all, it comes back to Something Greater that I even long to see”.
